Digital wealth and advice leadership recruitment

The boundaries between banking, investing and financial advice are changing.

Banks, investment platforms, digital challengers and execution-only providers are developing new ways for customers to invest, access guidance and receive financial support. Targeted support and emerging digital advice propositions are creating new commercial, product and leadership challenges.

The people needed to lead these developments don't necessarily sit within one established talent pool. Some bring investment and advice expertise, others understand technology, digital customer journeys, partnerships and bringing new propositions to market.

That's where my experience across financial services distribution, wealth platforms and fintech becomes relevant.

The roles I recruit

Where I recruit them

Relevant experience

I've recruited for businesses including Seccl and Insignis, and my work increasingly connects with the firms and individuals developing the next generation of digital investment and advice propositions.

At Seccl, the platform behind the Moneysupermarket deal, I placed the Head of Growth. At Insignis I placed the Head of Wealth. I'm also working on a senior investment proposition leadership search for a major UK life and retirement provider.

Why these appointments are challenging

The strongest candidates don't always come from businesses with identical propositions.

Some understand the regulatory and investment environment. Others bring digital product experience, distribution expertise, commercial partnerships or the ability to launch and scale a new proposition.

The challenge is understanding what the business genuinely needs, which experience is transferable and where the right person is likely to be found.

That's where a detailed understanding of the market becomes particularly valuable.

There's more on where the market is going on my targeted support and simplified advice page.

How I work

Exclusive or retained, one brief at a time. That means a proper look across the whole market rather than the first ten CVs on a database, and a shortlist of people I've actually spoken to. Usually four, not forty.

If you're building a digital wealth or advice offering, I'd like to hear about it.
